A winning ticket has been sold in California for the Powerball jackpot worth an estimated $1.08 billion, the 7th largest in U.S. history and the 3rd largest in the history of the game. The California Lottery said on Twitter that the winning ticket was sold in Los Angeles at Las Palmitas Mini Market. The market is downtown in the Fashion District at 1205 Wall Street. Also, seven tickets were sold in California matching five numbers, but not the Powerball. They are worth $448,750 each and locally were sold in La Puente, Los Angeles and Northridge, the California Lottery said on its website.
