Did you win almost a half-million dollars in the Powerball Lottery? (Renee Schiavone/Patch/File Photo) BAY AREA — Wednesday night's Powerball drawing produced a new billionaire in California as a single ticket sold in Los Angeles matched the jackpot numbers. But another seven ticket buyers in California missed the jackpot by a single number, matching the first five numbers drawn. Each of those is worth a cool $448,750. Three of the seven tickets were purchased in the Bay Area — one each in San Francisco, the East Bay and the South Bay.
