LONG BEACH, Calif. (Gray News) – A teenager who was killed in the 1970s and only known as 'John Doe' for decades has finally been identified.A young man's body was found June 3, 1978, lying on the pavement of a street in Long Beach, according to the Long Beach Police Department.Detectives determined at the time the victim, between 15 and 19 years old, had succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.Despite decades of working to identify the victim, all investigative leads were exhausted, and the case went cold.
