HACIENDA HEIGHTS — An appeal against the construction of a luxury condominium complex with 85 units was denied this week by the L.A. County Board of Supervisors after county officials said the project was environmentally sound — a designation that stirred pushback from critics and several residents. Lennar Homes LLC is the developer of the proposed complex at 16234 Folger Street on the campus of Glenelder Elementary School, which is closed, in the unincorporated city of Hacienda Heights. But a group called Coalition Against Lennar had appealed.
